How the Smarthealth Watch Works

S-Pulse^TM technology created by Salutron measures the electronic signals passing through your body that result from the beating of your heart. You may be familiar with the EKG waveform, either from personal experience while at the hospital, or from popular television medical shows. It's this same signal that is picked up and measured by the S-Pulse^TM technology. Any other cheap heart rate monitor without this technology cannot offer you the accuracy or the ease of use that the S- Pulse^TM gives you.

This EKG measurement is obtained when you place two fingers from one hand on the two sensors on the top of the watch attached to your opposite arm. This creates a loop across your body that the watch can now read.

The Heart Rate Watch must be properly attached to your wrist in order for the Heart Rate monitor function to work.
